Meet the Photographer
Hi, I'm Kayla!
I’m a photographer and graphic designer based in Oxford, Mississippi, where I live with my husband and our two cats, Dolly and Eliza.
Photography came into my life slowly and then all at once. I taught myself everything—learning on a hand-me-down Nikon and falling hard for the way a single image can freeze something small but true. I don’t over-direct or over-style. I just try to create space where people can show up fully as themselves, and I document it as it unfolds.
My approach
My photography is emotionally-driven, but it’s not quiet — my work is vibrant, expressive, and full of life. I pair my bold aesthetic with an unshakable commitment to authenticity.
I care about being fully present with my clients - I typically come home to my husband and tell him about all the moments that made the photos, even the detail shots. Be assured if I’m in the room, I’m like an observant friend who happens to be holding a camera.
A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.
